Elite Brentwood School teacher arrested for having sex with teen
45-year-old Aimee Palmitessa was arrested Friday, August 18, 2017, and taken into custody by LAPD detectives, for having sex with a 16-year-old student.

Further Information on Palmitessa’s Case
Palmitessa holds a PHD in biochemistry and molecular biology. She now teaches biology at Brentwood School, once of the most expensive in Los Angeles, as well as one of the state’s highest-ranked schools. She taught previously at Penn State Abington.
School officials are “shocked and distressed” according to Brentwood head Mike Riera, who added that after the arrest, Palmitessa was placed on leave. According to the LA Sheriff’s Department, she has since been released on $250,000 bail.
Current students include the children of Harrison Ford & Calista Flockhart and Reese Witherspoon, and noted alumni include Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, comedian Jonah Hill, actor Ben Savage and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
