Wyoming Teacher Sentenced for Sex with 13-Year-Old Boy
CHEYENNE, WYOMING – Anna Andersen,55, a former sixth-grade teacher at Freedom Elementary, was sentenced August 17th to eight to 12 years in prison for having sex with a 13-year-old boy. Andersen previously pleaded no contest to second and third degree sexual abuse of a minor. She was first arrested in March 2014, after investigators discovered Andersen and her victim had an ongoing sexual relationship for two years from 2012 to 2014. The victim was prepared to testify against Andersen. At the sentencing, Andersen told the judge that her relationship with the boy began because she saw he was troubled and she wanted to help.
