TEACHER / JEHOVAH’S WITNESS ELDER GUILTY OF SEX ABUSE
Jason Morris Gorski has already pleaded guilty on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, to sexual abuse of a 13-year old boy, a former student of his. Gorski is a 44-year-old former teacher and Jehovah’s Witness elder. The sentencing, currently scheduled for January 26, 2018, is expected to earn Gorski six years in prison.
His former employer, when he was a teacher for four years (2003-2007), is the now-closed Southwestern Longview Private School, in Long Beach California. During that time, as well, he attended the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall congregation in Cypress, and was appointed a church elder in 2007. Gorski had sex with his young victim in several locations in Buena Park between June of 2007 and June of 2008.
Eight years later, in March of 2016, the young boy reported the sexual abuse to law enforcement. Buena Park Police began investigating the case, and Gorski was arrested in June 2016 — but the boy had reported the abuse to the Jehovah’s Witnesses congregation in 2009. The congregation removed Gorski as an elder, but allowed him to remain an active member. When he moved to South Carolina in 2010, he began attending the local Jehovah’s Witnesses congregation in Charlotte, NC.
If you were molested by Jason Gorski as a child when he was a teacher, or when he was a member or elder of the JW Kingdom Hall congregation, or you believe your child was molested by Gorski, please contact both police and us. We are located at 445 Figueroa in Los Angeles, phone (213) 596-4855. Our firm specializes in child sex abuse, and our consultations with survivors and their families are free. What’s meant by free is that working with the lawyer is completely no-charge. The family doesn’t pays anything for doctor bills or lawyer bills or other counseling bills — nothing up front. Once we recover money on behalf of the survivor, then our firm gets paid.
Free Institutional Child Sexual Abuse Consultation
It’s unlikely that Gorski molested just this one boy, just this one time, over the course of his ‘abuse career’. Because child sexual predators often molest many children before they are caught, its expected that there are several, if not many, survivors that have yet to come forward.
This subject, sexual molestation of children, is very complicated, both in real life and as far as the law is concerned. Our firm has the experience and the compassion to help your family, because we’ve helped other families navigate through it. Our process includes working hands-on with our psychologist, and other team members skilled at helping the child survivor recover from the trauma.
