  • CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL (CORONA)

    Summer Michelle Hansen, 31, a mother of three and special education teacher at Centennial High School, was arrested in June 2013 and charged with 16 felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and sending harmful matter to a minor. Her five victims were all boys under the age of 18 and students at her high school, although not her students. The crimes occurred from May 2012 to May 2013, in her classroom, in her classroom, in a utility room at the school, in her vehicle while parked near one victim’s home and at another victim’s home. In one instance, according to police, Hansen offered a student sex “as a prize” for doing well in a baseball game. In April of 2015, Hansen was sentenced to three years in state prison and required to register as a sex offender for life. News Source: Press Enterprise, KTLA
  • ELEANOR ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL
    7447 Scholar Way, Corona, CA 92880
    Steve James Wolford, 50, of Lake Elsinore, was arrested in December 2010, after a student reported that Wolford kissed her above her left breast while speaking with her alone after class in May 2010. She also reported that Wolford kissed her on the forehead on four separate occasions. Wolford was convicted in May 2010 of one misdemeanor count of annoying a minor, and sentenced in September 2010 to four months in jail and three years probation, and also ordered to register as a sex offender.   • TEMECULA PREPARATORY SCHOOL (FRENCH VALLEY)
    35777 Abelia St, Winchester, CA 92596
    Brittany Nichole Fleming, 29, of Murrieta, was arrested after her husband contacted police and reported finding inappropriate text messages on her cell with a student. The husband called Murrieta police out to their home about 12:30 a.m. saying that he was restraining his wife, who was trying to overdose on medication. The husband said he had confronted his wife about the text messages and she admitted that she had been exchanging messages with the boy for a few weeks. Police detained Fleming and took her for a 72-hur mental evaluation. A search of her cell phone uncovered more than 800 text messages from the month of January, as well as photographs showing the teacher or student in their underwear. Fleming pleaded not guilty to the charges in May 2015. The case is pending. News Sources: Press Enterprise
  • TEMECULA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL (TEMECULA)
    31555 Rancho Vista Rd, Temecula, CA 92592
    Jeremy Todd Bucholz, 37, of French Valley, a teacher at Temecula Valley High School, was arrested in January 2009 after a 17-year-old female student contacted police and reported having sexual contact with Bucholz several times in his classroom, vehicle, and home. Bucholz pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful sex with a minor, two counts of oral copulation with a minor, and two counts of sexual penetration with a foreign object. In June 2010, he was sentenced to a year in jail and five years probation, during which he would have to register as a sex offender. Buchholz, a father of two, was hired by the Temecula Valley Unified School District in 2000 to coach football and eventually became a math instructor. He has since been fired.
