On Tuesday January 22, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department arrested Brandon Jacob Nease, a drama teacher at Costa Mesa High School in Orange County, on suspicion of felony child molestation. According to investigators Nease has been a dance and drama teacher at several Orange County organizations.
The arrest stems from accusations Nease has been committing lewd acts on a boy for years, beginning in 2011. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department the victim was 13 years old at the time the molestation occurred and only recently reported the alleged crimes.
Officials say that Nease has taught dance and theater at various organizations in Orange County for years. Beginning in 2008 until 2016, Brandon Jacob Nease was the choreographer and director at Musical Theater Village in Irvine. He was the dance specialist at Camp James in Newport Beach from 2012 to 2015. Nease taught dance at the Boys and Girls Club in Tustin and Fountain Valley in 2013. He also worked at Musical Theatre West in Long Beach from 2015 to 2017.
