International Water Polo Club Sexual Assault : Coach Bahram Hojreh

On April 4, 2018, the Orange County Superior Court filed multiple charges of sexual assault and molestation against Bahram Hojreh, coach of The International Water Polo Club, an aquatic club affiliated with USA Water Polo.

Four Years of Repeated Sexual Battery

The charges allege that, from 2014 to January of this year, Hojreh engaged in several instances of sexual battery and various lewd acts with seven underage female players in private coaching sessions. Four of the females were younger than 15 years old, and at least two players reported multiple instances of assault to their parents.

Although Hojreh plead not guilty to the filed charges, the USA Water Polo organization took swift action, suspending him from the regional board and revoking his membership in the organization as soon as allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced at the beginning of 2018.

Hojreh previously served as a water polo coach for multiple Orange County high schools, including University High School in Irvine until March 2017 and Kennedy High School in Anaheim for an undetermined time period.

Although seven members have spoken out thus far, we suspect there may be more girls victimized by Hojreh, afraid to speak out against his deplorable acts.
