On Friday March 1, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Fidel Camarena Dominguez, a track coach at Rosemead High School in Rosemead. On Monday, March 4, Dominguez was charged with six counts of a lewd act on a child ages 14 or 15, two counts each of oral copulation of a child under 16 and dissuading a witness, as well as one count each of unlawful sexual intercourse and oral copulation of a person under 18
Los Angeles County Prosecutors allege Dominguez had a sexual relationship with a teenage girl for several years. The relationship began in February 2015 when the girl was 14 and lasted until June 2017. According to a press release, the alleged victim, who is now 18, reported the abuse on February 22.
According to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department news release, Dominguez built a bond with the victim, picked her up on weekends and drove her to his home in La Puente. This is where the abuse is alleged to have taken place.
